This article was written based on the study: 'What is the added value of access control for organisations?' Conducted by BenchLab. The research was conducted from 2020 to 2024 and targets multinationals globally in more than eight countries. Meanwhile, over 180 decision-makers participated in the survey. Over 1,200 decision-makers have been added to Nedap's network and provided with regular survey updates. All benchmark reports were followed up by appointment by Nedap specialists.

The market group of technology group Nedap examined the access management challenges and opportunities facing multinationals, now and in the future. One key finding: almost 60% of multinationals do not (yet) consider their own access control system future-proof.

Nedap benchmark survey

Nedap Security Management presented today at ASIS Europe 2019 some key conclusions from its comprehensive benchmark study. The market group of technology group Nedap examined the access management challenges and opportunities facing multinationals, now and in the future. One key finding: almost 60% of multinationals do not (yet) consider their own access control system future-proof.

The results of the survey were presented by Martin Wijlens and Timon Padberg, both Sales Manager Global Clients of Nedap Security Management. They gave visitors to the Nedap stand an insider view on the latest access management challenges and opportunities for global organisations. They also discussed Nedap's Global Client Program, which helps multinationals, among other things, implement, maintain and update access control system AEOS efficiently and globally.

Martin Wijlens: "Our benchmark survey provides multinationals with useful peer-to-peer insight on the status, challenges and opportunities of their access control system. It zooms in on topics such as 'convenience versus danger', infrastructure and card technology, among others." Timon Padberg adds: "With increasing globalisation and constant change, professional standardisation of security aspects such as access control is increasingly important. Among other things, we support multinationals with concrete insights through market research and, in addition, unburden them with our Global Client Programme."
