Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026

BenchLab only places functional cookies that are strictly necessary to make our website work. We do not use tracking, marketing or advertising cookies. This page explains exactly which cookies we use and why.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device during your visit. Cookies can be functional (for example, to remember your language preference) or used to track your behaviour. Under European ePrivacy rules and the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet (article 11.7a), strictly functional cookies do not require consent; for all other cookies, opt-in consent is mandatory.

Which cookies does BenchLab place?

We only place two types of strictly functional cookies:

Language preference (i18n_redirected)

Functional
Purpose
Remembers whether you view our website in Dutch or English, so you continue in the same language on your next visit.
Retention
1 year

Cloudflare Turnstile (cf_chl_*)

Functional
Purpose
Protects our contact form from spam and automated abuse. Only set when you open the contact form.
Retention
Session / max. 30 minutes

No tracking, marketing or advertising

We do not place cookies for advertising, retargeting, social media or to follow your behaviour across other websites. Your visit to benchlab.nl is not used to build a profile of you.

Analytics without cookies — Plausible

For website statistics we use Plausible Analytics. Plausible is fully cookieless, does not store IP addresses and does not track you across websites or sessions. All data is aggregated and cannot be traced back to individual visitors. Plausible is GDPR-compliant and runs on European servers. More info: https://plausible.io/privacy.

Managing or refusing cookies

Because we only use strictly functional cookies, no consent is required and we do not show a cookie banner. You can always manage or delete cookies through your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Note: if you refuse the language preference cookie, your language choice will not be remembered, and the Turnstile spam protection may block the contact form.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time, for example when we use new services or when legislation changes. For material changes we will clearly note this on this page. The date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
